Bottle Cap Project

With this project me and my partner Hannah D. had a variety of different ideas about what to make. Our first phase was to make a recycle bag similar to the ones that hang in all the dorm rooms around the campus. So as a way of conserving some of our bottle caps we made the excecutive decision to make the first product smaller than the final. During the construction process we begain to like the smaller version of the bag better, we decided to go in a different direction with it and label our new product as a small tote or bag.

Finaly when completion came we realized that it was a little awkward to carry as a tote/bag...Back to the drawing board...After analyzing our product some more we thought "what do we used everyday?" SHOWER CADDIES of course. We reached a decision to create a bag/container to hold our shower items when walking from our rooms to the bathroom. We did notice a few things that would need to be changed. the caps on the bottem would need to be turned upside down so puddles of water didn't sit and collect mold, and also we had to rethink what we connected the caps together with. The wire we used on our initial model would rust after constant water exposure, so we changed it to fishing wire. And there you have it a efective caddy for all!
